Alleged NDIS fraud plot accused had one-way ticket to Nigeria, court hears

A man accused of orchestrating a multi-million dollar fraud against the National Disability Insurance Scheme was apprehended by federal authorities moments before he could flee the country, an Adelaide court has heard. Prosecutors allege the individual was central to a sophisticated $5 million plot and had secured a one-way ticket to Nigeria, set to depart just hours after his arrest on Friday.

The court was informed that the accused had systematically ‘cut ties’ with his life in South Australia, disposing of assets and finalising travel arrangements that suggested a permanent departure.
